On the 5th September the Walking Group had a lovely afternoon when we returned to a much favoured walk over Gleniffer Braes which if conditions are good, offer really fabulous views and we were indeed lucky this time. The route leaves Robertson car park and takes you along a Tarmac path through high pasture where cows graze and already the views are opening up with Stanley Reservior and most of Paisley before you. The route then crosses a minor road and we followed the trail along the Tannahill Walkway. By this stage you are able to identify hills such as Ben Lomond, the Kilpatrick Hills and the western end of the Campsies north of the Clyde.
We also came upon a children's play area with a rather generous slide which proved too much of a temptation for two of our most "senior" ladies who felt compelled to have a go!
(On a pleasant late summer afternoon, such as we had, this walk takes a bit of beating)
