Further to this, we are pleased to announce that booking is now open for our 2019 Elders conference, to be held in Tulliallan from 7th – 9th June.

The theme of this conference is ‘Creating and Deepening Discipleship', and it will seek to enthuse and inspire the current and future elders in the Church of Scotland with a fresh vision and understanding of the characteristics of discipleship; equipping them to explore their role as elders in creating and deepening a culture of discipleship. This will be a great learning and development opportunity for you and others in your congregation to be connected, resourced and inspired.

There will be six Keynote Talks on Christian Discipleship:

  • Faith as a journey of Discovery
  • Understanding Who We Are
  • Whole-life Worship
  • Prayer
  • Being a Servant
  • Discipling One Another

And several workshops looking at the elder's role in various church ministries, including:

  • Worship
  • Christian Learning
  • Pastoral Care
  • Sharing Faith
  • Office Bearers

You can book onto the conference via our Eventbrite page here, and if you have any questions, please do contact us at learn@churchofscotland.org.uk

Many thanks and best wishes,

The Learn Team
