The Scottish Government and the Church requires all volunteers and paid staff doing regulated work with children and protected adults to join the PVG scheme.

Each applicant completes an application form, references are obtained, criminal records checks are made and only after the PVG Scheme Record has been processed is the person clear to work within the congregation.  Safeguarding training is offered to all scheme members and to the Kirk Session.

Photographs of children or vulnerable adults are published only once written consent for this is obtained.

Safeguarding Training Dates 2017/2018. All people working with children or vulnerable adults require PVG checks and to attend Safeguarding Training. more...
