A church with a heart for the community

Digital Giving - A New Way to Donate

Pam Martin:

We are excited to announce the launch of Digital Giving, a new and innovative way  for you to support Mearns Kirk and the great work that we do. Our digital giving  device is now available in the church vestibule on a Sunday and the hall foyer during  the week. You can also choose to donate online by scanning the QR code on your  smartphone. This will take you to a secure website where you can make your online donations.

In our increasingly digital world, more and more transactions are moving online, and church donations are no exception. By donating digitally, you can be sure of:

  • Convenience and Accessibility:
    - Anytime, anywhere: No need to carry cash. You can donate quickly and easily with just a tap.
  • Security:
    - Secure Transactions: Digital giving uses the latest security technologies to ensure that your financial information is protected.
  • Environmental Benefits:
    - Paperless Giving: By donating digitally, you help reduce the need for printed envelopes, bank pay in slips etc., contributing to a greener environment.
  • Tax Efficient Giving:
    - Gift Aid: If you are eligible for Gift Aid then Mearns Kirk can claim an additional 25% on top of the amount donated with no cost to you.

How to Use the Digital Giving Device

  • Visit the Machine: Located in the church vestibule, it is accessible before and
after services. It is also accessible during the week in the church halls.
  • Choose Your Donation Amount: Select from a variety of suggested donations
    or choose your own amount.
  • Make Your Donation: Tap your credit or debit card on the card reader.
  • Choose to Gift Aid Your Donation (if eligible): Securely enter your name and
address details if you would like us to be able to claim an additional 25% on
your donation. You will only need to enter these details the first time you
    donate.

Thank you for your continued support of Mearns Kirk
